Listen to or read the VOA’s words and their stories – this time fish expressions.

The Deutsche Welle was a lovely website with lots and lots of news in English.  One of my favourites is their ‘Word of the week’ which is supposed to help English speakers learn a funny and quirky German word each week.  This week’s word is ‘Spitzenreiter’.  Now that really is difficult to explain in English, don’t you think?
