The workshop

An intensive weekend workshop for business professionals who would like to:

• learn the art of social talking on a business level

• improve their fluency and communicate with more confidence in a business and professional context

• learn how to “oil the wheels“ of business with small talk and break the ice before business meetings and other events

• enhance their professional development and

• avoid those typical German mistakes and false friends that so many language learners make.

The participants

This intensive weekend workshop is for business professionals who have a good level of understanding in the language, are prepared to speak English in a group and who would like to upgrade their small talk skills in English to:

• improve socialising and networking skills

• enhance relationships and build rapport

• build trust and a connection with international clients

• find international jobs.

The programme

The weekend will offer a very varied programme. You will be practising and developing the skills, strategies and language you need to make small talk. All daily activities are organised to help you become more comfortable and confident when socialising through English. These include working lunches and evening dinners, and games and lively activities with your trainers.

The package

The weekend workshop includes:

• 2 expert English language trainers for not more than 12 participants

• 15 hours of intensive English training (with documentation)

• leisure activities (in English)

• mealtimes conducted in English

• one games evening and one film evening (film shown with its original soundtrack)

• 2 nights in a standard room in a business hotel with full-board

• certificates of attendance
