If you would like to keep up with what is going on in the UK, then check out the BBC iPlayer console.  There are different tabs at the top of the console: ‘Home’, ‘Now Playing’, ‘More like this’ and ‘Live radio’.  Click on ‘Live radio’ and choose your station.

Listen to English and learn English with Podcasts in English. All podcasts are free, however if you would like to receive the learning English worksheets, vocabulary tasks, webquests and transcripts you need to become a member.  Podcasts are grouped into three levels of difficulty.

The Voice of America broadcasts radio programmes in ‘Special English’ using a core vocabulary of 1500 words.  It uses  short, simple sentences that contain only one idea and the active voice (rather than the passive), and it does not use idioms.  It is excellent for English learners.
